Xavier, Sujith

From May to August of 2009, Sujith worked with Al-Haq, an international nongovernmental organization with UN consultative status in Occupied Palestinian Territory (OPT) as a legal intern documenting war crimes and crimes against humanity. In July 2008, Sujith was appointed Legal Advisor to Home For Human Rights, an advocacy NGO working in the conflict zones of North and Eastern province of Sri Lanka and spent two months in Colombo and Vavuniya Sri Lanka monitoring the humanitarian crisis. From 2007 to 2008, Sujith was Research Associate and Research Manager of Health Law, Ethics and Policy Group, Faculty of Law University of Toronto. Sujith has worked as a Legal Researcher for the McGill Clinic for the Sierra Leone Special Court and McGill University's Faculty of Education.

Prior to undertaking his legal studies, Sujith worked in the field as a researcher and documentation officer for an advocacy NGO in Sri Lanka documenting human rights violations in the conflict zones.

Sujith�s Ph.D. research focuses on international criminal law and constitutionalization of global administrative law, under the supervision of Professor Peer Zumbansen
