Law, Work and Family Care, is a symposium to be held February 17 & 18, 2017 at Osgoode Hall, York University. It takes a multi-disciplinary approach to engaging with the quickly developing and crucial issue of how to define and address family status as an element of human rights protection . The recent series of court and human rights tribunal decisions in this area highlight the challenges and urgency of this project. This symposium is co-sponsored by the forum for Comparative Research in Law & Political Economy (CLPE) at Osgoode Hall, Queen's Centre for Law in the Contemporary Workplace, and the Womens' Legal Action Fund (LEAF).
